Zoram Mega Food Park

Our Company

Zoram Mega Food Park Pvt Ltd is a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) promoted by Mizo entrepreneurs to establish a food Park at Khamrang under the Mega Food Parks Scheme (MFPS) of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), Government of India. As per the stipulations of the MFPS at the time the SPV has 100% private shareholding.

The SPV submitted its Expression of Interest (EOI) in February 13, 2012 in response to a call for EOI from the MoFPI. The Company was granted “in-principle approval” in December 19, 2013. However due to various administrative issues “Final Approval” was delayed and only granted on June 10, 2015. Construction commenced onsite form December 17, 2015.

Our strategy based on a ‘hub & spoke’ model. The core of the project is our Central Processing Centre (CPC) at Khamrang in the Kolasib District of the State of Mizoram (India). The CPC is fed by three Primary Processing Centers (PPCs) at Mualbuhvum (Champhai District), Thingfal (Lunglei District) and Thenzawl (serchhip District). These will be fed by a number of Collection Centers (CC) across the districts and blocks in Mizoram. We are also partnering with various Framer/ Rural Socities and Corporations .

We aim to ensure remunerative prices to the farmers and value for money for the consumers by providing requisite channels for forward linkages so as to minimize the length of supply chain, eliminate middlemen and reduce risk.

We aim is to stimulate direct and indirect income generation in the food processing and its ancillary sectors in Mizoram. To provide platform for establishment and growth for entrepreneurs in the Food Processing sector in Mizoram.
